Laura Mann received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1993 and her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 1996. While at Hofstra, Laura received numerous awards for her dedication to public service and the various leadership roles she undertook. After law school, she dedicated the first decade of her legal career to providing free legal assistance to those in need through her work at legal services in both Ohio and New Jersey. Laura graduated Hofstra Law in 1996 with her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree. Those experiences were a prelude to a decade of dedication to public service. She relocated to Ohio to use her legal education, skills and training to serve as a lawyer to the low-income population of the rural communities in Ohio’s Appalachian Valley for almost a decade of dedicated service to the poor.
Those years of service, experience and dedication developed her legal knowledge and honed her litigation skills, proficiency she uses daily in her current practice. She utilizes her finely-tuned advocacy skills and, when appropriate, creative and peaceful resolutions of those legal disputes through mediation. Laura’s innate compassion and understanding, combined with her experience, skills and training as a litigator and mediator, enable her to adjust her approach to the matter at hand to seek the best outcome for her clients.
Laura founded her law firm in 2007 so she could continue her efforts assisting those in need of high-quality legal representation in and around northern New Jersey. Since that time, she has provided dedicated legal service to residents of West Milford and surrounding areas, addressing a variety of legal needs.
The Law Offices of Laura S. Mann, LLC shifted its primary location to Riverdale, New Jersey, though continues to maintain a satellite office in West Milford as a convenience to its West Milford, Sussex County and area clients.
Laura represents clients primarily in northern New Jersey though is happy to assist clients state-wide when appropriate. She currently focuses her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Matrimonial and other Family Law, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure Defense, real estate transactions, general litigation and mediation.
Laura is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York and Ohio (though has voluntarily made her Ohio license inactive), and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of Ohio and the United States Tax Court. Laura also has been specially trained in civil mediation and has been included on the statewide roster of court-appointed mediators as a R. 1:40 qualified mediator.
